FOR THE TRAVELLERS
Welcome to Estes Park
We are so excited to share this trip with you and we are very appreciative of your effort to join us in our celebration. We have gathered some info here for a successful stay.
Hope you enjoy your stay!
If you have any questions about anything, please don't hesitate to get in touch :) You have our details!
Getting here
The closest airport to arrive is the Denver International Airport (airport code DEN). Estes Park is a 73 mile (~1.5 hour) drive north from the Denver airport.
The drive is an easy and enjoyable ride through the mountains. It will be hard to do this trip without access to a car. With that said we will happily work with pairing up groups or doing our best to find you a ride to Estes Park if that is a concern. Please just let us know how we can help get you to the mountains!
Where to stay
There are plenty of accommodation options that cater to all budgets. We do not have group rates, because of our event size and because hotels do not offer them.
-
Fall River Village (Wedding Property)
Where we have happily stayed in the past:
-
Inn on Fall River (1.5 mile drive)
-
Silver Moon Inn (0.6 mile drive)
Close to the Venue:
-
Maxwell Inn (0.3 mile drive)
-
Murphys River Lodge (0.4 mile drive)
Also, don't forget to check out Airbnb and Vrbo, as there are some great options nearby. Be quick, we're expecting places to book up! If you're struggling please get in touch.
Things to do
Please visit Rocky Mountain National Park, it is our favorite national park and why we choose to have our wedding here. We suggest the easy hike of Bear Lake Loop, and for those looking for a little more of a challenge continue on to the Emerald Lake Trail.
The national park also offers fantastic scenic drives and over looks too. We suggest packing a picnic and finding a spot to sit and watch the wildlife. We have enjoyed watching elk, mule deer, moose and big horned sheep in the park.
We also suggest visiting the quant downtown and The Historic Stanley Hotel. And of course, one of the best parts of a mountain vacation is capping the night off stargazing from your lodgings hot tub.
Where to eat
Please be aware that this is a mountain town, most restaurants close early so please plan accordingly. There is also a Safeway Grocery store in town and the majority of lodging have kitchenettes. On the drive to Estes Park there is a Costco, early on, for those who may be interested. Here our some of our recommendations:
